RentPlay was conceived at the TechStars Hackathon in Platform Calgary, where our innovative solution for renters caught the attention of industry experts.

From idea to reality, we've grown to serve over 100 waitlisted users and 5 partner businesses, all eager to revolutionize the rental rewards space.

RentPlay was built for renters who've always wondered why paying rent gets you nothing back, and for local businesses who work hard to bring people in the door.

Aby paid over $150,000 in rent and never got a single point or reward. Manan grew up in a small business family and saw how tough it is to compete with big chains. Together, we set out to change that.

With RentPlay's SuperSaver system, renters report rent monthly (1st-4th) to unlock SuperSaver mode, which gives 2X points (1000 vs 500) on the first 5 receipt uploads from partner stores. After your SuperSaver uses are gone, you earn regular 500 points per receipt. Hit 5,000 points and get $5 cash—no strings attached. It's a simple way to reward renters for what they already do, and help small businesses get the foot traffic they deserve.

Manan grew up in a small business family in Stratford, Ontario, and saw firsthand how hard it is to get customers in the door. A Computer Science grad from UofT, he's focused on building tech that helps local businesses thrive and renters get rewarded for everyday life.
